We're looking for a motivated Automotive Technician to join our high-performing workshop and become part of a supportive team that values quality workmanship, collaboration and continuous learning.
About the Role
As an Automotive Technician, you'll be responsible for accurately diagnosing, servicing and repairing a range of passenger and commercial vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer technical information. Working alongside our Service Advisors and Workshop team, you'll ensure every vehicle leaves our workshop performing at its best.
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using advanced manufacturer diagnostic systems.
Performing servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer specifications.
Installing and repairing vehicle components, wiring, software updates and electronic systems.
Liaising with the Service team to communicate repair requirements and obtain repair approvals.
Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Maintaining accurate repair documentation and service records.
Using manufacturer service manuals, technical bulletins and specialist tooling to support repairs.
Participating in ongoing technical and manufacturer training to stay ahead of evolving vehicle technology.
About You
A minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role or a Trade Certificate in Automotive Engineering.
Proven experience diagnosing and repairing modern vehicles.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and computer-based technical information systems.
A current, clean New Zealand Driver Licence.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive approach with strong organisational skills.
A commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards.
